Cake Pop TutorialPosted on Nov 20, 2012
In this tutorial I will show you how to create stunning decorated Cake Pops using the Silicone Cake Pop mould.
You will need:
- Silicone Cake Pop Mould
- Lollipop sticks
- Blossom Art Hydrangea cutter and mould set
- Non-stick work board
- Rolling pin
- Sugar paste (in whatever colour you like)
- Corn flour for dusting your work board and the hydrangea cutter mould
- Simply Melt chocolate coating
- Sugar sprinkles
Preheat the oven to 180, place the base of the mould on a baking sheet (without the holes) and lightly grease both the base and top of the mould with cooking spray or butter. Pour the cake batter to the top each cavity (don’t over fill). Place the lid on and snap together.
Place in the oven on the baking sheet and bake for approx 15-18 mins or until a cocktail stick comes out clean (use holes in the lid to check this (as below)
Once cooked leave to cool for 15 mins before removing the lid.
Insert a lollipop stick into each cake pop. Melt the chocolate icing covering according to the manufactures instructions.
Holding each cake pop by its stick, dip into the melted coating.
Once dipped and coated sprinkle half of the cake pops with sugar sprinkles and set all aside upright to dry.
To make the sugar paste hydrangea’s, roll out the sugar paste on a non-stick board and cut flowers using the metal cutter. Then place the cut out flower into the hydrangea mould. Press the mould together to create the hydrangea flower (as shown below).
Finally decorated the remaining cake pops with the hydrangea flowers. Gather all together to create a stunning cake pop centrepiece and Ta-dah!
